Those on their way to meet a friend at dinner, or heading to their department, may never reach their intended destination. Instead, characters will find themselves in an unfamiliar part of the ship, abruptly stranded. All attempts to access the elevator will prove fruitless, as the doors cannot be pried open and the lift will not respond when called. It looks like you have no where to go but forward. Hallways will connect only to other hallways, giving you the impression that you're always on your way somewhere- but can't quite manage to arrive. Time spent in the hallways will seem endless, but with luck you may find a break in the monotony. It is possible for characters to find one another, which would be preferable, as it's probably safer traveling in groups. Those that spend an excessive amount of time in their own company will find themselves feeling increasingly hostile and paranoid, until even the walls seem to be watching. That may not be such an exaggeration, with those murals that continually appear... |

Dinner on the holodeck or the kitchen?
no subject
[Because that part he sure hadn't done yet. Playing with holograms was a lot more fun.]
no subject
[She could hope that was what he intended to do. She got in the appropriate lift and waited for him to join her.]
no subject
[He steps into the lift beside her and hits the button for their floor.]
How's spaghetti sound?
no subject
[She frowns slightly when the lift didn't close its doors and start moving immediately. She settles into a more neutral expression when it finally does and relaxes.]
no subject
[He grins teasingly and puts an arm around her waist, then frowns when the lift stops earlier than it should have, but figures someone must have been going down, too - except when the doors open, there's nobody there.]
no subject
[That was weird... Maybe someone had messed with the buttons and ran off? She snorted and reached to press the button for their floor again.]
no subject
... The fuck? It just... died.
[This could be bad. He pulls out his comm, figuring maybe if they can't get it moving, he can at least get a message out to someone that they need help.]
no subject
Did you find someone to contact?
no subject
[He follows her out of the lift, then looks up as he hears the doors hiss closed behind him.]
Well. We're fucked.
no subject
The damn thing is stuck.
no subject
[Don't mind him, he's just going to stand off to the side and hope this voice post goes through.]
no subject
Well?
no subject
Won't know until someone gets back to us, I guess. No luck, huh?
no subject
[She frowns. Something doesn't feel right and she grabs her battle rifle to keep it at the ready.]
no subject
[He still has that pistol she gave him, but he's content to just let it stay at his hip for now. She can handle the fighting if something happens - which, why would it? Surely this particular area wasn't dangerous. They couldn't have gone too far, in that lift. Time to start walking, and find out.]
