Those on their way to meet a friend at dinner, or heading to their department, may never reach their intended destination. Instead, characters will find themselves in an unfamiliar part of the ship, abruptly stranded. All attempts to access the elevator will prove fruitless, as the doors cannot be pried open and the lift will not respond when called. It looks like you have no where to go but forward. Hallways will connect only to other hallways, giving you the impression that you're always on your way somewhere- but can't quite manage to arrive. Time spent in the hallways will seem endless, but with luck you may find a break in the monotony. It is possible for characters to find one another, which would be preferable, as it's probably safer traveling in groups. Those that spend an excessive amount of time in their own company will find themselves feeling increasingly hostile and paranoid, until even the walls seem to be watching. That may not be such an exaggeration, with those murals that continually appear... |

Stilinski.
[he offers in return instead of pointing out that she was rambling.]
I was heading to the passenger decks for lunch.

[ even if it's under mildly stressful circumstances. and maybe she's just overreacting, there's a good chance that the lift down at the opposite end of the wall will work just fine and they can be on their way, but there are little details that are making her question that, making curiosity shimmy on over to just shy of wariness. ]
I guess we're.. somewhere in between the two, then. Noone's ever told me about stretches of hallway like this, though. There should be doors for passenger quarters, or at the very least a common room along the way. [ she's trying to remember what else about the ship people have told her, but all that's coming to mind is the maze she's heard so much about. there weren't many rooms off of those hallways in the maze, they just had to keep walking, avoiding the traps. but this didn't feel like that at all, this corridor left her with a vibe of simply just keep walking. ] Am I thinking too much? I'm thinking too much. Worrying, actually. Okay. [ r e l a x ]

which would be odd, but...
his brow creases as they move along.]
I have the weirdest de ja vu right now.

I was hoping it was just me. How have we not- gone anywhere?
[ because they're still walking but nothing looks closer, and when she turns to face where they came from, it's like, somehow, there was never anything other than more hallway back there to begin with. ]
How did- Where did the elevator go??

[and he stops, looks at where they're going, then looks back the way they'd just come, and there's a moment as the gears start turning. he lifts one hand, a kind of shake of his finger.]
I've heard about this.
[he takes a step away from her, squints down the hall]
Never ending hallways. This happened a year ago.

[ someone's definitely having a 'i had no iDEA THIS WOULD BE ON THE EXAM' moment ]
Do you remember any of the details? The.. why and the 'how do we get back', maybe?
no subject
[not for that, per se, but Stilinski is one of those guys that turns every paper and article inside out until he can't suck up anymore information. he suspects his son inherited it from him.]
No. That part wasn't really clear.
[he looks apologetic about it, either way]

[ have a nod, sir! a very confident nod, and a grin, and then she's starting down the hallway again. even if the halls shift and they don't know where they've technically started, or where they'll end up, staying in one place won't get them any less lost. that's her logic anyway, which is why she's starting down the hallway again just as determined as before. ]
Maybe I should start documenting this. Not that there's much to take note of just yet. -And I hope there won't be. Maybe we'll just turn up at the other end of the hallway like we're supposed to and that'll be it.
