EVENT; LIFTS & CORRIDORS

CHARACTERS: Ensemble production!
LOCATION: The Corridors.
WARNINGS: Space crazy, violence, etc.
SUMMARY: You may have simply been taking the lift with passerbys, but now you're hopelessly lost.
NOTES: Notes on the corridors.

Those on their way to meet a friend at dinner, or heading to their department, may never reach their intended destination. Instead, characters will find themselves in an unfamiliar part of the ship, abruptly stranded. All attempts to access the elevator will prove fruitless, as the doors cannot be pried open and the lift will not respond when called. It looks like you have no where to go but forward. Hallways will connect only to other hallways, giving you the impression that you're always on your way somewhere- but can't quite manage to arrive.

Time spent in the hallways will seem endless, but with luck you may find a break in the monotony. It is possible for characters to find one another, which would be preferable, as it's probably safer traveling in groups. Those that spend an excessive amount of time in their own company will find themselves feeling increasingly hostile and paranoid, until even the walls seem to be watching. That may not be such an exaggeration, with those murals that continually appear...

"Always," he replies without hesitation. "Never punishing the people who need to be punished, blaming the people who get hurt for getting hurt in the first place, refusing to investigate anything--and they wonder why nobody wants to report anything to them."
supfirehawk: (Are you serious?)

At least she knew that now. "I don't plan to put up with them for much longer. I'm not going to get thrown in the brig every time I don't play by their rules. Has it been the same people in power?"

"So, mutiny, then?"

He says it with the slightest bit of a cringe, as if he isn't quite sure he likes where this is going. As much as he would love to see Kirk and his ridiculous company of space heroes taken down, he isn't sure he wants to be the one doing it.

"But, uh, yeah. Took charge right from the start, most of them. Edgeworth is a relatively new addition."
supfirehawk: (Nevermind)

"He's my least favorite of the batch. He doesn't act qualified to even be on a security force." Not that she cared if he did, she'd still dislike him out of principle.
testgasm: (i just have a lot of feelings okay)

"Maddening, is what he is." Wheatley obviously had a lot of opinions on the matter. "You look up hypocrite in the dictionary and he's the first thing you see."
supfirehawk: (Are you serious?)

[personal profile] supfirehawk 2013-03-03 06:30 am (UTC)(link)
"Why is he even trusted within security?"
testgasm: (i-it's not that i like watching you test)

[personal profile] testgasm 2013-03-04 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
"Your guess is as good as mine. Why are any of the people in charge allowed to be in charge?"

Not that Wheatley wanted to be in charge, really.

"You've been here longer. You should have seen it happen."

Wheatley managed to look just the slightest bit affronted, at that.

"I mean, it's not something that just happened. Sort of a--a gradual thing, it was. Not necessarily--I had a few other things to worry about than watching their every move."
supfirehawk: (I don't even know)

[personal profile] supfirehawk 2013-03-07 02:02 am (UTC)(link)
"What was it like before they got control?"
testgasm: (euhehehehehe)

[personal profile] testgasm 2013-03-07 08:20 am (UTC)(link)
"Uh, well--"

Wheatley couldn't honestly say that much was different, robot rights aside. But seeing as those rights were incredibly important to him--

"A lot less aggravating, that's for sure. Felt a little safer, maybe, before they swooped in and started discriminating against non-humans."
supfirehawk: (Firehawk bitches)

[personal profile] supfirehawk 2013-03-08 04:37 am (UTC)(link)
"And none of them are doing anything about it?"
testgasm: (IMPOTENT ROBOT RAGE)

[personal profile] testgasm 2013-03-09 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
"They're the worst offenders!" Wheatley suddenly seems very enthusiastic, accompanying the exclamation with a sort of flailing of the arms. "So of course they're not going to take kindly to someone exposing the truth, because they're the ones with the problem in the first place!"
supfirehawk: (I don't even know)

[personal profile] supfirehawk 2013-03-09 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
She stepped back and held her hands up in front of her, surprised at the sudden outburst of energy. "Whoa, relax, dude. You're the guy who put up that post a while back about AI rights, aren't you?"
testgasm: <lj site="livejournal.com" user="relicfragments"> (i changed my mind about the libido thing)

[personal profile] testgasm 2013-03-09 12:40 am (UTC)(link)
"That--" ABORT, ABORT "--depends entirely on how you feel about AI rights."
supfirehawk: (I am not even thinking about that)

[personal profile] supfirehawk 2013-03-09 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
"I hate security as much as you do." As for her actual opinion on AI rights, that depended on whether or not they were aiming weapons at her or if she was getting paid big time to take them on.
testgasm: <lj site="livejournal.com" user="relicfragments"> (no shut up you are dumb and wrong)

[personal profile] testgasm 2013-03-09 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, but that's--"

He huffs and folds his arms, squinting and managing to look just the slightest bit suspicious.

"That doesn't answer my question."
supfirehawk: (Firehawk bitches)

"If you're not pointing a gun at me, then yeah, sure."
