LOCATION: The Corridors.
WARNINGS: Space crazy, violence, etc.
SUMMARY: You may have simply been taking the lift with passerbys, but now you're hopelessly lost.
NOTES: Notes on the corridors.

Those on their way to meet a friend at dinner, or heading to their department, may never reach their intended destination. Instead, characters will find themselves in an unfamiliar part of the ship, abruptly stranded. All attempts to access the elevator will prove fruitless, as the doors cannot be pried open and the lift will not respond when called. It looks like you have no where to go but forward. Hallways will connect only to other hallways, giving you the impression that you're always on your way somewhere- but can't quite manage to arrive. Time spent in the hallways will seem endless, but with luck you may find a break in the monotony. It is possible for characters to find one another, which would be preferable, as it's probably safer traveling in groups. Those that spend an excessive amount of time in their own company will find themselves feeling increasingly hostile and paranoid, until even the walls seem to be watching. That may not be such an exaggeration, with those murals that continually appear...

If you're trying to sleep? A glowing pillow would be kind of annoying.

[ But his laughter means she's finding it easier to smile, even if it's more of a come on now, that's just ridiculous kind of smirk. ]

So do you think when you stop growing they'll stop molting? Or are you going to have to find more creative uses when you shed? [ She's met a few harpies, so it's not really that big of a deal. She's just glad he's not a screeching curfew-guard. Or whoever it was Percy met. ]

I guess. Though it makes you seem more insane if you accidentally run into someone in a hall. Not like these halls wouldn't drive anyone insane.

That's a drawback yeah but, you do what you can, you know? [It's good to see her smile. It's so serious all the time that a little cheer isn't a bad thing. He ponders over the molting question.] Dunno if I'll stop when I stop growing, I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. If not, everyone has a battery free, light resource for emergencies.

One elf dude wants some of my feathers for arrows. Maybe I could even trade them for stuff at stations. And hey, maybe a glowing pillow is soothing for some people. I don't sleep much so I wouldn't know.

I'm sure there's something else out there for glowing feathers that doesn't involve sleeping.

[ C'mon, Davesprite. Self-worth here. You're so much better than a pillow. ]

Though I have to say, the light source will definitely come in handy. At some point, I'm sure. Knowing this ship. [ But then she thinks about think, about how she could see the Apollo kids jumping all over glowing feathers for their arrows. Artemis, not as much, but she could see the use. ] Make 'em pay per feather.

And when you say you don't sleep much, is that a you don't need to or you just can't? [ Because there's quite a difference. Even if Annabeth would be the biggest hypocrite alive if she tried to get on someone about not sleeping. She might have been lucky the past few weeks to avoid any crazy nightmares, but that doesn't mean she's home free. ]

It's a bit of both. Being what I am without any limits on it, don't need sleep. Now that there's a cap on all of my sick sprite shit, I have to get at least a few hours. [He doesn't mind sleep so long as he knows where the people he cares about are. Davesprite glances warily around at the hallway walls and frowns.]

And this place is too damn quiet. [He doesn't trust the silence. There's something out there in the dark. He can just picture it crouched down and waiting for the hapless to wander too close.]

A few hours isn't bad. [ She can't image how annoying it must be, though, to go from not having to do it to having a limit like that. A cap. She follows his eyes down the hall, then checks back over her shoulder.

The feeling of being watched hasn't gone away, even when she comes across people in the halls. It's like there's something in the walls, waiting. Annabeth frowns. ]

You've noticed it too? [ She shifts where she's standing, feeling jittery. On edge. ]

[He pulls his sword out of his inventory in the blink of an eye. Davesprite adjusts his grip on Caldescratch and shifts the blade to the broken version. He wants anything planning to come at them to get a little surprise. Dimming his glow would be a dead giveaway he's wary and alert. He leaves it shining just as brightly as it has been.

That doesn't mean he has to talk to loud. The sprite takes a step closer to Annabeth as he drops his voice lower.] Yeah. I've been thinking, if the supposed Manticores attack anyone who goes beyond the used sections of the city. Why haven't any hit us?

[He hopes she knows where he is going with this. The manticores are fast creatures, he remembers tangling with them in the lab way back when Dirk was around. Being sick and hardly able to stand had made it difficult to handle even one and he's sure at his best it would enact a heavy price to fell one on his own. What is out there that makes them avoid these hallways?]
