When you were young and your heart was an open book
CHARACTERS: Megamind, Roxanne, and a myriad of others -visitors, guards, medical personnel.
LOCATION: Medbay
WARNINGS: Possible discussion of gore and injury, death threats, who knows.
SUMMARY: Megamind's in the medbay. So are a lot of other people coming and going.
NOTES: Feel fee to use this as a gathering thread; your character may come for medical treatment- specify if you have an open thread, or if you want to see Megamind or other specific characters (arrange scenes with anyone other than Megamind and Roxanne with the players in question personally, please!)
He was a mess; the bullet missed Megamind's heart, but his body had never been made for the gravity in which it had been raised. His blood pressure elevated, he bled like crazy. After a couple of touch-and-go days, he seemed to even out, though he was low in blood and completely comatose. Without enough blood to run that big brain? Who could say if there'd be brain damage later. With no medical records to compare to, Megamind's condition would remain a question until he opened his eyes and spoke again.
But that doesn't mean he wasn't going to. He was just taking his good sweet time about getting there. Eventually, he would. Someday. Today, maybe. It might be a good day for that...
...here's hoping it was a good day for everybody else.

She's awake now, and her blue eyes follow Kirk in his corner, until she finally gets up after talking to Megamind, and makes her way over.
"His plans usually aren't so bloody."

And maybe, if he stands aside and watches it covertly, he doesn't tell anyone, and nobody mentions it to him either, which is fine.
This wasn't one of those times, but his gaze comes around when she speaks to him. "Roxanne," He says, as though almost surprised she's speaking to him- perhaps because she hadn't left his bedside save for personal reasons. "I guess you'd know, wouldn't you?" He pauses. "Why did he kidnap the two of you?"

"You work quickly." She brushes a stray piece of hair away from her face -- she looks tired, a little beaten, but still determined and smiling. And, honestly, a little wary, because just how much does she tell him about the situation, what Megamind had done and why.
"Hostages," she says simply, smiling a little at him. "He needed hostages, I suppose."

This had almost seemed like a giant... game.
"I'm sorry," He finally says, after a few beats of silence have passed between them.

“Don’t be. You did what you had to do.” Her eyes flick to the sleeping Megamind, then back to Jim. “I’m just glad he’s alive and made it through all this.”
She’s quiet for a few moments before adding;
“He’s a good man, Jim. He mostly meant well. He wouldn’t have jumped the ship unless everyone was safe. He’s not a murderer.”

"That's good to know. I can't say I've known many who can do what he does that aren't. Murderers, I mean." Nero comes to mind, really, and every Klingon they've had to learn about.

"He's different, and not just because he's blue. He's...had a hard life." And it had started when he was an infant. It wasn't fair, and it didn't condone how he'd handled everything.

But that wasn't a topic up for debate.
Still, the desire to kill was what separated many, and he could acknowledge that in Megamind, even if his tactics weren't the best. With nothing to say to her words that wouldn't start an unnecessary argument, he waits to see if she'll go on.

A brief squeeze, and her hand drops, and she's moving back to sit next to Megamind, his limp hand in hers.
