And--feel free to stop me if I've overstepped a boundary--what do you consider as something better with your time?

Considering I'm, I believe, the only member of the Xenobiology and Genetics section... That would be what is a better use of my time. Particularly considering genetics was a rather interesting subject for me before I came to this place.

Was your last field of work in genetics? What sort?

I was more of a medic or healer for the person I had worked under. Though genetics was a hobby of mine in order to advance further my knowledge of medicine, yes.

Interesting--and you didn't join the medical team?

I've offered my services to the public at large if they needed it. Genetics is just... more interesting to me. And without the people that were there, it becomes more of a necessity.

I suppose, what with the life forms that are unfamiliar from other worlds. It never pays to be too careful.

[ Crane's going to smile slightly, though--looking almost amused. ]

I never said I wasn't smart, did I? Considering I'm a skilled medic and work with genetics, I would assume it a given.
