A Little Closure
CHARACTERS: Arthur, Ariadne, and "Nick"
LOCATION: A lounge on an unused passenger deck
WARNINGS: Possible language, spoilers, and one grumpy Wraith
SUMMARY: Ariadne has questions for the resident Wraith. He wants nothing to do with her. Poor Arthur is caught between them.
The room he'd selected was not the most secretive, nor was it the most secure, but Guide watched it anyway. It was well away from the other passengers' quarters, which was a sort of security in itself, but some part of him itched for Bonewhite, or perhaps Ease. Even a drone would have sufficed - someone that he could summon if the meeting went sour. The poor diet he had been forced to take kept him lucid, but the question of whether he could subdue two healthy humans before one could call for help was an open-ended one.
As with too many of his escapades, he had no choice but to work alone. He'd been lucky thus far, but luck was not a substitute for preparation.
He'd hidden himself just outside the rendezvous point, within earshot of the lounge. The female human had been insistent that she was interested in an interview and an interview alone, but one did not live to be ten thousand years old by relying on the honesty of others. He'd stunned her once, tasted her life as it bought him a few critical minutes to continue his hunt, and he had not even done so with the proper pride of a hunter. It was not outside the realm of chance that she might try to take vengeance upon him instead.
Well, he was the hunter now, if he needed to be. He would wait for them to find the empty lounge first, to see if his paranoia was not entirely unjustified.

So with one of her sketchbooks that was filled with the maps of the ship (just has she had promised), her and Arthur entered the lounge set for the meeting, letting her attention quickly scan all that was around them, before she clutched the sketchbook close to her chest, silently watching as Arthur go about what he does best – ensuring all would be safe – quietly waiting for their mysterious guest.

And now, he could draw his snare shut if he needed to.
He strode into the lounge, looking every bit like a nightmare: six and a half feet of Wraith dressed in leather from the neck down, feeding hand curled protectively and snakelike eyes hardened. He opened his mouth to speak, and bore an impressive set of sharp teeth in the process. "If you'll excuse my tardiness, I believe that you had some questions to ask," he said mildly, looking down at Ariadne.

A shift of her weight and a quick glance over towards Arthur, giving him a silent look in unity, and she was back in action, looking suddenly more confident then she was feeling. "I - we do." She said, turning her attention squarely onto the being in front of her then.
"I admit, I'm not sure what I expected when I was going to see you, but this is interesting."
