CHARACTERS: Anyone pinged by the idea of a civilian council
LOCATION: Holodeck 1
WARNINGS: There could be violence, depending on how vicious this politics gets. Swearing is also no less likely. Will add anything else as it comes up.
SUMMARY: Nathan has called together a meeting of the leaders in Tranquility's various communities, hoping to sort things out. And then everyone got hideously traumatised so it's a wonder there's any meeting at all

NOTES: Holograms are awesome aren't they? Welcome to the council hall. Before you all is a round table - holographic, of course - and Nathan has had to personally carry in enough chairs to seat people--that's why they're all hideously mismatched. Some are benches. To make up for this fact, above you is the most stunning glass ceiling, offering a flush of morning sunshine. Remember when you last saw the sun?

People who don't want to involve themselves in the discussions, but are coming to make sure things are going down a reasonable path are welcome to stand in the wings. Or bring your own chairs. There's only so much fetching and carrying Nathan can do without his support team and a host of buff bodyguards.

Here's how the post and the politics will work. Three threads: Council Matters, Mingling and OOC

Council Matters will be open to subheaders posted by anyone 'on the council'. The comment header should be a proposal made by a character ICly, and can either be accompanied by a small speech, or be a stand-alone question opened up for discussion.

Mingling is for people to mingle, either before, during or after. Anything goes here.

Don't feel too much pressure about tagging in, especially if your character is still recovering from SH. Nathan isn't expecting a big turn out, but if you're assuming your character came and don't plan to get involved, then tag into OOC to let other players know your character was there.

As for making actual decisions, that's probably something that needs addressing in a little more detail both ICly and OOCly. I intend to post an OOC post to tidy council things up a little later, when we have more of an idea where this month's plot is going, and after we've had time to chill from SH and the Jump and everything.
