You're not feeling too well. The last couple of days have been - rough. The medbay seems to be a bit more full than usual, but you're sure it's nothing to be worried about; whatever the illness is, it'll go away once you've rested and gotten a check-up. Right?

Don't worry, I'll help 'em out if they need anything. [Kay is saying to Megamind whenever he helps him into the infirmary. He's still not quite comfortable enough to tell the guy what he does, but he's glad for the opportunity to actually do his job.

The moment he sees a free doc, he starts scooting Megamind over in his direction.] I bet you guys are busy as hell.

[megamind]

Need anything? What are they going to do? [He's a little confused, he's never really been sick before. And this was a hell of a sick to get.]

[But then he spies the medic on call.]

Ollo, Dr. Watson!

[invalided]

Oh, that's one way to put it. [ It's dry as anything. An unequivocal madhouse would be another way to put it, but he's fine with just about anything, really. John offers something along the lines of a polite smile- professional, calm for looking a little on the rumpled side- and steps up to usher them both towards the nearest available bed, already casting a clinical eye over them. ] Mr. Megamind. What's bringing you in today?

[ Not that he doesn't already half-expect a particular answer. Never hurts to ask. ]

Dizziness, disorientation, nausea. I'm not sure what color his eyes are usually supposed to be. [He talks for him, most that he suspects if he talks too much the poor guy will take to dry heaving again.] Says it's his first time sick.

[megamind]

My eyes are supposed to be green. Are they not green? Not a lot of mirrors in--in-- uh-- oh-- [...yeah okay, the heaving is going to start again. Probably should shut up. Nothing to bring up but bile, though... but that's still pretty damn miserable.]

[ Nausea, indeed. John leaves it to Megamind and the nearest bin (or whatever he may unfortunately have wound up aiming at, nodding a thanks to Kay for answering what he could- they've had more than their share of messes in the past few days), giving him whatever time he needs to finish and start catching his breath. He peers at his eyes and nods, once, before moving into step two, which would be the step involving the thermometer. ]

They're not all green, no. We're seeing a lot of that. [ It's as calm and reassuring as he can manage, at the moment. ] Anything else? Aches, trouble hearing, anything at all you think might be worth mentioning. I'm going to check your temperature; is that all right?

[agent_k]

[He gives Megamind a little bit of guidance over to the nearest examination table so that he can sit down, make it easier on Dr. Watson.]

[megamind]

Not going to-- normal. Run -- different-- [But he gives up on speaking because... well. The last time he went on about it? Not that great.] Don't retain heat like you do. If it's over 96... [Well. That'll be fantastic.] Can over heat-- brain issues. Big brain. Too much brain.

[invalided]

I'll be sure to make a note. That's something everyone on staff ought to know while you're here. [ Any boiling of brain is strictly unnecessary, he should say. ]

[agent_k]

I think the Doc's gonna make sure everything's clear [but there's a faint expression of this poor man has a boiling brain. He gives Dr. Watson another look to see if he needs anything else.]

[megamind]

[It's not boiling yet! But nobody wants it to, least of all Megamind.]

Nngh.

[He's pretty much a useless hurling sack of meat now, boys, so feel free to talk about him while he just lays there and tries to convince himself that the medbay bed is not moving.]

Absolutely. We'll get him taken care of. [ Or they won't, but that's a bit on the morbid side. It's about staying positive and not overly stressing everybody, for starters. If nothing else... they'll make people comfortable. ]

[agent_k]

Poor guy. [He gives that overheated head a pat while he's out.]

If they bring up any developments I'll do what I can to help out. [He's going to make sure that cure shows up. Taking care of aliens is a thing of his, and he doesn't want to stop even if he's yanked a long way from home.]

We'll all appreciate it in here. [ Right, a little something for the nausea, then. How interesting turns in events ever abound. ] The sooner someone has a breakthrough, the better.
