It's not good. She doesn't have to be a doctor to know that, and all her work in the lab is telling her that whatever the curse for this is, it's something they don't have. They can treat the symptoms and maybe, if they had enough time, they could make the cure on their own -- but they don't. They have to rely on the smiley face everyone's been warning her about, and people who should be in medical are out searching simply because if they don't, it's possible no one will.
Back in medical, Betty does what she can. When she's not working in the lab, she's trying to make sure everyone stays hydrated, and it's on that mission that she approaches Josias -- a cup of water in hand. ] Here. You've been working for a while.
