You're not feeling too well. The last couple of days have been - rough. The medbay seems to be a bit more full than usual, but you're sure it's nothing to be worried about; whatever the illness is, it'll go away once you've rested and gotten a check-up. Right?

[He takes a step closer to her bed] If your fever has gone up we should tell the doctors.

I t-think it's just from the w-water, though. I'll be okay.

[He reaches to place his hand on her forehead. Even if her fever hasn't gone up his body is naturally warmer than a normal human's body, so he thinks that will help.]

I'm not a doctor, I don't really know how to help.

[Not to mention he's still feeling sick himself.]

[His hand was pleasantly cool on her forehead. Even through the shivering, she gave a faint smile.]

That feels nice.

[He nods, relieved he can do something. He looks for a chair nearby, and when he does find one he drags next to the bed and sits by her with his hand still on her forehead.]

[She was able to relax that much more with the improv compress, sighing softly.]

I don't know.

[And it isn't really a lie, either.] I don't really have anything to compare to what I'm feeling.

I think the water helped me cool down, though.

Are you hungry?

Little bit. Haven't really eaten since breakfast.

I'll see what I can find. Will you be okay?

[And off he goes, food time. He just got scolded for leaving the bed but whatever he does what he wants.]

[His face is so serious when he takes off, she can't help a small bout of laughter. Mostly to herself, as there was now nobody else around to hear it. Shifting to her side, she tucked one hand beneath her less-than-feathery pillow and stared after the place he'd disappeared into.]

[The medical bay had just gotten infinitely more boring with nobody to talk to.]

[He takes a while. There isn't much food to find in a place like this, and most of it is pretty... tasteless. Zee had already stated her opinion on that.

Still, food is food. So he comes back with some kind of soup.]

They told me this would do us good.

[She peers over the rim, amused at his choice.]

Chicken soup? How cliche.

Still, better than nothing. And it actually doesn't smell too bad.

[It takes her a while to sit up, and even longer to fix her uncomfortable bedding so she could prop herself up against the back. Once she's sure she's settled, an unsteady hand reaches for the bowl.]

[He sits on the side of the bed, reaching to her with the spoon carefully.

Say aaaah.]

[Still, she found herself smiling at the gesture. Humoring him by obediently opening her mouth so he could spoon-feed her the soup.]

[It...actually tasted better than it looked.]

[He goes to fill it again.]

[In between fits of muffled laughter, she opens her mouth for another spoonful]

If I was really a nurse I'd choose more cooperative patients.

[The little twitch of a smile, to show he's joking. He keeps on feeding her, glad she's eating.]

Hey, I'm being completely cooperative here.

Besides, I don't think nurses ever get to choose their patients.

Nurses don't get to save the world either.

[Another spoonful.] I wouldn't be a good nurse.

Well, this one does, 'cause you're a great nurse in my eyes.
