You're not feeling too well. The last couple of days have been - rough. The medbay seems to be a bit more full than usual, but you're sure it's nothing to be worried about; whatever the illness is, it'll go away once you've rested and gotten a check-up. Right?

[ There are precisely two people that understand the full of extent of how not knowing bothers Sherlock. Playing smileys little game, with the mazes and the supposed cure at the end gave way to the promise of answers and if it didn't provide answers - it entered the promise of progress. Sherlock's been needing something like that. He doesn't want second hand information, he wants to be there as it happens. He wants to know if he can see from the situation what the others cannot and try to make something out of it. He has to know. ]

[ Sherlock feels like he's going through the motions. To weak to object to anything. He was in shit shape before the black hole and that didn't make things any better. The world seems bleary and out of focus and he can barely hear anything between all this ringing. He feels a stab from the shot and it takes him far longer than he's pleased with to realize it's John taking care of him. ]

[ It takes him a moment to focus and John has all of his attention because he can't divide it right now. Sherlock attempts to deduce how long it's been since John's slept and how the man's clearly been pushing himself. John, you're always an idiot - he thinks before it registers that John shouldn't be treating him. ]

[ That raises enough red flags. ]

You shouldn't be treating me. You shouldn't be working.

[ John's movements aren't precise and he's struggling. He can't even manage annoyance in his voice and he does want to scold John for pushing himself. The next question doesn't sit well with him. It wasn't worth it - not yet. He had contributed to the mission but until a cure or answers are found, all of his actions were meaningless pursuit. It does grate on Sherlock that he couldn't push himself a little more. ]
