You're not feeling too well. The last couple of days have been - rough. The medbay seems to be a bit more full than usual, but you're sure it's nothing to be worried about; whatever the illness is, it'll go away once you've rested and gotten a check-up. Right?

[ Under other circumstances, McCoy might pause for a second to consider whether that could be a come-on of some sort, but right now he just really wants to get all his patients back into their beds where they're safe. So he nods, carefully so as not to set off another wave of dizziness, and offers her an arm. Because despite the fact that he's really the one who needs the help, Leonard McCoy is a gentleman. ]

Fair enough, but you gotta promise me you'll stay there. No wanderin' around where you might end up getting sick and falling.

[ ah, a gentleman. irene does so enjoy the company of them, although she's more than certain doctor mccoy is not as easily twisted about her fingers as the men she'd waltzed with back home. but she tucks herself neatly against him, the old skill that's long since become habit. ]

Promises are not something I indulge in. Bargains, on the other hand...

[ her lips curve into a smile, so perfectly sweet it can't help but radiate danger. ]

I don't suppose you're the sort of man who keeps his bargains, are you?

[ Oh yes, that is a dangerous smile. And for all his bitterness and cynicism about women in general, being confronted with one directly rarely fails to bring out his best Southern manners. He can already tell he's in trouble. ]

Yes ma'am, I'd have to say I'm generally a man of my word. Though I can't see where there's much of a bargain to be made here, seein' as I'm the doctor and you're the patient. Patients are supposed to listen to their doctor's recommendations.
