Looks like the authorities have apprehended you and have brought you in for processing. After being forced to wait in the waiting room, you're brought to the assimilation room - a terrible white cell, where you're trapped for hours, sentenced to be slowly stripped of your individuality. |
no subject
What was your first clue?
[ and it's easier to be sarcastic and snappy than fully process the situation. because it doesn't look promising. it looks less promising than a prison full of russian mob intending to kill him. at least that keller'd had a chance of talking his way out of, one way or another. this? no, probably not. ]
no subject
Oh, just a hunch I’ve got.
[Sarcasm and lightheartedness = definitely the best way to deal with a really bad situation.]
Womanly instinct, you know.
no subject
I've heard about that. Let's hope it doesn't pan out this time, yeah?
[ optimism isn't keller's strong suit, but he can at least hope for a better outcome than terrible awful things. ]
no subject
[Her eyes sweep the room, uncertain of...well. Anything, really. Megamind has no idea where she is, or that she's even in trouble. She's on her own, this time. There wont be any saving.]
What's your name? Might as well get acquainted, don't you think?
no subject
[ and he watches her look over the room. there's not much to see, nothing of note, and keller knows because keller went over the place with a fine toothcomb after he'd been dumped in here. escapes, keller's done escapes before. this place doesn't lend itself well to them. ]
Matthew. And you are?
no subject
[She rests her hands on her hips. No, there definitely isn't much to see. Certainly nothing that's going to be of any use.]
They just keep tossing us in here. Wonder whats coming.
no subject
[ because keller's seen the inside of more than one. ]
You making trouble out there, if you don't mind my asking?
no subject
[Something NOT GOOD.]
Do I look like I was making trouble out there? [She smiles, though it's strained.] I think I asked too many questions. I'm a reporter back home. You could call me a little nosy. They didn't like it.
no subject
Looks like they don't care much for freedom of the press down here, eh?
no subject
It certainly doesn't seem that way. I wasn't even asking all that many questions, either. Just a few simple run of the mill curiosity ones.
[Her nosiness has tapered off somewhat with being on the Tranquility.
It does get the best of her, sometimes.]
