[Joker is already regretting this, but it's hardly the first time he's covered the team. Okay, it's the second. But beggers can't be choosers right now and he's got perfectly functional hands that hold a perfectly functional assault rifle right now.]

[He shares Tali's-- discomfort in seeing Shepard so strained. There's an edge of guilt, there, that will probably never go away. Maybe this was a bad idea (like staying to go down with the Normandy) that's going to get her hurt (or killed again).]

[So of course, he's more sartastic and bitchy than ever.]

Man, if there is no pirate treasure and hot pirate ladies at the adventure I'm never using one of these crappy treasure maps again.

[A large part of this ship is uncharted territory, and Shepard would rather not walk merrily into any traps today. She lifts her shotgun, pointing it at the ceiling for a moment while she looks back at Joker]

It'd be a nice surprise if that was the case, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

[She nods shortly, though, and gives the drone the go-ahead to move in to the room with the X on the map. Tali flexes her fingers around her shotgun, feeling more than a little anxious. She just ... blinks.]
