WARNINGS: ... Partial nudity? It should be pretty tame, but let me know if I need to add anything.
SUMMARY: Side-effects of a jump may include disorientation and temporary memory loss. Fortunately, there are a handful of others who have been through this before.
NOTES: Yes, it's a rehashing of the game premise. Don't worry, you can personalize your own (re-)introduction!
You wake up, alone in the dark.
There's a breathing tube jammed down your trachea, and you're suspended in a tube of clear blue fluid. Upon registering your level of consciousness, the gravity couch drains the fluid surrounding you and retracts the breathing apparatus; the doors in front of you open, and you're deposited on the floor of a stark, sterile medical bay.
Don't worry, you are not alone. There are others who have come before you, others who are awakening beside you. Some may be familiar to you, perhaps even friends. They will help you through your disorientation, even though they might suffer from it too.
After you catch your breath and your vision returns, you notice a number on the inside of your forearm. Maybe it's a familiar number. Maybe it means something. Maybe it's just a number. But the number—completely unique to you—is a tattoo, and it does not come off.
If you enter the room adjacent to the medbay, you will find a small locker with your number on it, surrounded by rows upon rows of identical lockers. Inside, you will find a few of your personal items, a communications device, and a ship's uniform in your exact size. The comms device is fully powered and connects directly to the ship's network; it's your only means of communication beyond physical conversation. Upon turning the device on, a neutral, automated voice will say, "Please take the blue lift to the passenger quarters." Any other attempts at communicating with the rest of the network are met only with static.
This is your welcome party.

In the locker room, he dragged a towel from his locker, and get the gunk off as quickly as he could. Then he got his jumpsuit and quickly got the DE-Gun re-holstered his hip before he activated his watch, putting the illusion of Megamind, Unarmed Alien In Jumpsuit to hide his weaponry. Thankfully, most people were still shuffling off or in the other room, and he felt safe that his secret was still secret.
Grabbing his communicator, he pocketed that, and checked to see if anything new had appeared in his locker. So far, nothing.

However, she has no time to slip into that jumpsuit before she sees a very familiar, very blue figure.
Megamind.
How relieved she is to see him -- and she expresses this by quickly excusing herself from her current conversational partner in order to make a beeline in his direction.
"Megamind--" She starts to say something but it's lost in her emotions and instead of trying to speak words she simply embraces him and kisses him.

--in the name of all things bad, is she half-naked? No, definitely more than half. Eyes wide and bugged, Megamind makes a face that's somewhere betwen fear, shock, confusion, and sweet mother of God, those are breasts!
This is perfect time to tackle him and kiss him of course.
First he reels, mouth agape and the kiss sloppy-- but then he flails backwards-- banging into the opposite bank of lockers, arms pinwheeling before he righs himself, using his motion to push her back in a frantic shove.
"Miss Ritchi!" Shrill, voice high and wracked, "--are you-- oh-- oh god, you must be suffering from the grav-couch delirium! Back, woman! Back!"

Being shoved away from the person she had grown to love? That was not on the expectations list.
She stumbles back and nearly falls simply out of shock because seriously what the hell, but she catches herself and stares at him, open mouthed and obviously hurt as she struggles to compose herself. What the hell?!
"Megamind? What's the matter with you?"
She reaches for him, to just take his hand and give it a brief squeeze -- they were in this together and maybe he was still reeling himself from...whatever those things were she'd woken up in.

"Nothing's the matter with me, Miss Ritchi. I'm just not affected the grav-couch disorientation that you humans are, obviously!" Hands up, as if he might be fending off attack of affectionate woman at any moment, he continues to back up. The lift is back there somewhere. If he can get on it and activate it, he can escape while she comes to her senses!
"You're on a strange space ship that's gone terribly wrong, Miss Ritchi -- and for once it's not anything I did, I promise you. But you must trust that I am not lying when I say that you are addled from you time in the grav-couch. I am most certainly not Metro Man!" Because, yuo know, he'd be massive, strapping and stupid if that were true.

"So I've heard. Ianto -- one of the more receptive people I spoke with a few minutes ago informed me of that particular little fact." Yes, space ship. She freaking gets it, okay?
"I'm aware you aren't Wayne, Megamind. I know exactly who you are -- but what I don't understand is why you keep pushing me, your girlfriend away from you."

He has the gall to look indignant, insulted even!
"Miss Ritchi, you should-- get dressed. Truly." .... hello, hips and thighs and -- ahem. "Sit down, maybe go to the mess hall, and we will never, speak of this incident again. No one will be humiliated, no one will be insulted, it can be a little secret between us, alright? Villain's honor."

She's confused, that much is obvious. Roxanne cannot make heads or tails of this exchange -- and something about it is intensely bothering her. She thinks maybe there is one of those creeping realizations that's trying to dawn on her, but she brushes it away in favor of continuing the conversation.
"What are you talking about? It's not -- wait a minute." She blinks at him.
"Villain?"
Oh, that realization is so close.

And now with her moment of thought on how to fix, he takes his opportunity -- and bolts for the lift, running as fast as he can manage on his skinny legs till he gets into the lift, and rapidly shuts it.
He has in fact, just run from Roxanne Ritchi.

He's gone, running off and practically throwing himself into the lift and slamming the door, leaving her standing there feeling like quite the fool.
"...Important."
She looks at the jumpsuit in her hand and clutches a fist around the material, swallows, and walks stiffly back to her locker.
