CHARACTERS: EVERYONE
LOCATION: MED BAY
WARNINGS: ... Partial nudity? It should be pretty tame, but let me know if I need to add anything.
SUMMARY: Side-effects of a jump may include disorientation and temporary memory loss. Fortunately, there are a handful of others who have been through this before.
NOTES: Yes, it's a rehashing of the game premise. Don't worry, you can personalize your own (re-)introduction!
You wake up, alone in the dark.
There's a breathing tube jammed down your trachea, and you're suspended in a tube of clear blue fluid. Upon registering your level of consciousness, the gravity couch drains the fluid surrounding you and retracts the breathing apparatus; the doors in front of you open, and you're deposited on the floor of a stark, sterile medical bay.
Don't worry, you are not alone. There are others who have come before you, others who are awakening beside you. Some may be familiar to you, perhaps even friends. They will help you through your disorientation, even though they might suffer from it too.
After you catch your breath and your vision returns, you notice a number on the inside of your forearm. Maybe it's a familiar number. Maybe it means something. Maybe it's just a number. But the number—completely unique to you—is a tattoo, and it does not come off.
If you enter the room adjacent to the medbay, you will find a small locker with your number on it, surrounded by rows upon rows of identical lockers. Inside, you will find a few of your personal items, a communications device, and a ship's uniform in your exact size. The comms device is fully powered and connects directly to the ship's network; it's your only means of communication beyond physical conversation. Upon turning the device on, a neutral, automated voice will say, "Please take the blue lift to the passenger quarters." Any other attempts at communicating with the rest of the network are met only with static.
This is your welcome party.

He'll just, not think on that too much right now. "I have been in strange situations, but nothing like this..." He says that, though he can't really remember what those situations are yet. They're there, he'll worry about them later.

But instead, he just showed Japan the tattoo with the numbers on it.

"Uwah, how did this appear here?!" A beat. "What if I am mistaken for yakuza and not allowed in public bath houses...?!" This is a crisis that bleeds through all memory loss and higher priorities okay.

"It's okay! You can probably get another tattoo to cover it up." He examined his own arm, trying to figure out a clever design that would mask all the numbers.
"Maybe you can get one that has aliens on it."

Japan has his panic face about him now, though upon closer examination of the number, he's relieved it's 008. And here he thought he'd have the luck to get stuck with 009 or something... Well. He's slowly recalling that he should remain as calm as possible while in... public. Regardless of the situation.
He tries this again. "Aliens are more of America-san's liking."

There's an uneasy expression, but Japan's slowly getting the idea that this will be his most used expression in this place. "I would rather have it as small as possible. Even if it could be turned into something nice like a chrysanthemum..."
He'll frown at the tattoo a bit longer before lowering his arm.
"Ah... I am Japan." As an after thought, as he recalls never mentioning that. And maybe only just now remembering he should.

"I think it'd make a nice flower," he offered. "You could draw more petals... It could be a weird flower!"

"Pleased to meet you..." It's only a little hesitant, and it's not John's fault at all. Just an odd situation to meet someone in. And now he's struggling to find a way to end this strange tattoo conversation for good.
He'll settle with the usual way. "Perhaps so... I will consider it."

let me love you
This kid must be American.
"I suppose it could be..."
lmfao why!!!! loser
And one leg."
He was already envisioning it, and it was beautiful.
BECAUSE no shush sob...
Just, throwing that out there. He wonders if he can change the subject now though.
"Is there any reason for the number...?"
i am watching you.....
"That is a very deep tattoo."
no stop that........... I'm watching you more!!! what then!!
That isn't quite what he meant, but now he's imagining aliens and Tony with 8 legs and just-- A sigh. "It seems as if many people are heading that way."
A point in the direction he's speaking of. ANYTHING TO STOP TALKING ABOUT ALIENS. HE WILL FAITO.
we got a femjapan i see you must be happy
"How's your breath?" he said, with even more awkwardness than anyone could possibly think it was possible.
yes I love her I am so happy heeeeheehehe
OH PAUSING NOW what is going on what.
Oh god that awkwardness.
Japan didn't think it could possibly be possible.
"...I am fine. Please do not worry for my sake."
do i know her the hetalia fandom is so small
His imitation of being out of breath sounded more like a chimpanzee.
she is kind of new to it sort of but she's the one always ♥ing at me in my plurks does this answer
"If many people are headed in such a way, it may be important..."
it actually is i am laughing and crying at the same time
I am just crying so you should just laugh
The 58943543rd pause.
"...I see..." He leans against the wall again, frowning hesitantly at the floor. "Is this a common occurrence?"
i actually do laugh when other people cry during tv shows...
"Wait, maybe the alien could have eight legs, and two eyes! That'd fit the eight too! I mean, the eight, too, not, the 82."
I laugh when other people scream at horror movies does this count...
Excuse me John that's the most interesting thing you've said all day. And Japan wants an explanation. Although the alien mention again gets a sideglance. Maybe if he ignores it and waits patiently for an answer to the first question...
lmfao oh gosh do you you are horrible!! i scream at horror movies!!!
Challenge presented.
HAHAHAHAHAA
That translates to about a few seconds of staring before he realizes that being indirect is useless. What is he supposed to do.
...
"Um..." No really what can he do. "I do not see how an 8 can be horns."
Failure.
no it is so scary WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS
I feed off your screams
but the grudge and the ring were so scary ;o;
they make me giggle ;w;
WHAT ABOUT THEM MAKES YOU LAUGH
THEY'RE JUST SILLY I DON'T KNOW

no all of it just. all of it. I can't... not laugh.....
